Our Company

Rathmell Archaeology is an established archaeological consultant and contractor. Founded in 2003 by Thomas Rees we are based in Kilwinning, Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland. We provide a wide range of services throughout Scotland, Northern England and the Isle of Man to developers, their agents, land managers and government organisations. Although the company is based in the UK all staff are permitted to work anywhere in the EU and are also certified to work in the Isle of Man.

We adopt a professional approach to ensure that our clients' interests are dealt with effectively, while maintaining a balance between the conflicting need for profitable development and for archaeological conservation. Our clients can feel confident in the reliable professional service provided by our highly qualified archaeologists. We undertake all our work in keeping with IFA guidelines, who promote archaeological standards.
