Database Development
Curators increasing rely on their database systems to deliver heritage data in a standardised manner to inform their stewardship of the built environment. All such databases, and their linked GIS , require constant maintenance and development to accurately reflect the known heritage resource.
We have an experienced team who can help through delivering cost effective programmes of work potentially covering database development, data capture and data enhancement.
Past projects have included data enhancement of both established and new databases, such as Fife SMR and the Dundee City HER respectively. We have also established then collated data fo r targeted estate management databases such as Historic Scotland's PIC SMR.
Our team is trained to administrator level in Exegesis SDM Ltd's HBSMR, the main built heritage database system. We can deliver a package of works that can meet the objectives, and budget, of a client in an efficient and timeous manner.
