When a development proposal is required to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment, we are experienced in preparing Cultural Heritage chapters for inclusion within the Environmental Statement. We can tailor a programme of works to establish a baseline appropriate for the development location and its character. Typically this will incorporate desk-based assessment and targeted survey works. In certain circumstances more extensive investigative works are appropriate, such as those detailed in pre-determination.

The baseline provides a competent platform for the consideration of the potential for impact from the proposed development, adverse or beneficial. This in turn informs the development of mitigation to suppress the likely consequences of a development proposal. Throughout this process we will continue to liaise with the relevant consultees to ensure that their concerns are considered and addressed.
