Staff Research
All our staff are encouraged to maintain and develop professional areas of research outwith their project based work. This is essential to enable them to develop their research and synthesis skills which are poorly served by a diet solely comprised of project work. Featured below are selected research interests and projects of our staff:
Metalwork Hoards
Louise Turner is currently preparing the results of her PhD thesis on the Later Bronze Age Metalwork Hoards of Essex and Kent for publication as a British Archaeological Report. This work examines the so-called 'scrap' metal hoards of the Carp's Tongue Complex, considering both the internal structure of the hoards themselves and the fragmentation methods employed in their contents.
